Re: Price check on minty CLLM mk. II
What do we all think of just under US$2,600 (that’s UK£1,380 and AU$3,365) for a near-mint Lee-Speed CLLM mk. II? This is the volunteer/Territorial pattern, identical to the one illustrated in the 1912 BSA catalogue Skennerton reprinted some years ago.
The bore is virtually unfired and the bluing about 99.5 percent. There is a thin streak of metal patina along the woodline on either side. As for the woodwork, there is a one-inch scratch on the right side of the buttstock, a half-inch scratch on the left side of the handguard and a small ding on the right at the top of the fore-end. That seems to be it.
I know it’s a ridiculous sum of money, but how does it compare to comparable items?
Thanks to all,
