Milsurp After Hours

This is the first WW2 firearm I acquired, only about a month ago. It is a Lend-Lease, probably from Russia.

Very nice. Colour me green.

Is it in working order or deactivated?

It is in working order but it is on a collectors permit, so I am not allowed to fire it :-(

A WWII Thompson like that would go for $17,000 or so now days in the US. That lend lease is something to be prized for sure. Thanks for posting about it. Too bad it's for non firing collection purpose only......however, if I had a piece as desirable as yours I'd think twice before shooting it, even without a shooting restriction.

They are, or better were, rather cheap over here, I paid 600€ for the M1928 A1. I got an M1 and an M1 A1 on order, they might get a littlle bit more expensive but not much so. Unfortunately the supply sources are drying up, the price for the last M1928 A1's available have hiked up to 1400€. Still dirt cheap when you compare them to the US prices.

We can all thank our stupid law makers for this situation. Otherwise they would be priced like other weapons. Really no more dangerous than a semi, just alot more fun.
