More and more sporting rifles in the UK now have a can on the barrel. Moderators are viewed in the UK nowadays as an environmental asset as they reduce noise disturbance and also as a health asset as they reduce the risk of ear damage. They do work as they take alot of the boom out of the discharge. A .223 with one sounds like a .22 rimfire. I understand the US authorities still view these as a threat to society rather than a benefit.

I shot BOOCUE rounds with a LOUD M-16 in Nom, but I was not conserned about my hearing! The M-16 was the noisest weapon I 'heard' and I loved the power it gave us. All that noise and flying lead kept their ******* heads down!
This 'span' stuff is BS... my .02 (what ever)

Oh! Shock ! Horror! These evil devices are banned in Australia and are viewed as the devices of Gangsters and Assasins.
That the UK would allow them as a safety device.... it means he end of Society as we know it
