Eoin, you did good with the one you show. I'd like to see some more of it. If you are showing the same picture in subsequent posts you are not getting a copy of the right URL for the other pictures. Don't give up. You'll get the hang of it.

Last night's glitch has gone......I also read the instructions again

The rifle is a .22 Short Rifle Patt.14 No1 and was converted from an SMLE Mk II Cond. which itself had been a Mk II or MkII* Lee-Metford or a MkI or MkI* Lee-Enfield there is no way of telling which this was as it was fitted with a new SMLE body when converted.

There were only 427 of these .22s done so this particular one is rather rare.

Note here the filler glued into the clearing rod channel.

Breech end shewing the .22 liner of the Parker Rifled barrel.

Note that the extractor groove is full sized. The extractor itself is the normal .22.

Although parts of this one are now over 100 years old and the barrel liner dates from 1914, it is still a very accurate rifle and in good overall condition. Still in the condition in which I found it in a gunstore in Sydney some 15 years ago.

It was leftover from a shipment of .22 trainers as nobody wanted it

Thanks for the pictures.. I almost bought some kind of Enfield .22 at a gun show a couple of years back. I could have had it for something less than $200. But...... I didn't buy it.
