Aussie butt question

Greetings all,
I've had this old girl around for awhile and was wondering if anyone could help me decipher the buttstock markings. In particular I'd like to find out what "ARR" represents. The rifle is a 1908 BSA and appears to have spent some time in New South Wales.

Thanks,

Mike, During another thunderstorm here I tried to find what ARR meant. I can't find a thing that seems to fit.
Here's a short list that may ring a bell with somebody:
Aux. rifle
rifle regiment
rail road
rifle reserve
artillary rifle (seemed disposed to the BIG guns)

After delving into my vast library and some hours of research I am able to tell you that.......
Actually I asked on 'Australian Firearms Discussion Forum' and one of the members asked on another forum and the answer is that ARR stands for Australian Rifle Regement and that it disappeared in Army reorganization around 1912-16 and was the ancestor of the 4th Royal New South Wales Regement (4 RNSWR)
