Milsurp After Hours Internet Match?

We've had them in the past. Anybody interested in one in the very near future? The idea would be to shoot some easily produced target, either from an online download or easy to make target, and submit the shooting results online by a particular date. The winner would get a small prize provided by this site. No cost to enter.

Any interest? Propose a contest in this string and we will have a poll type vote as to the contest that looks most interesting. Then, if a half dozen people or more people commit to participating, we will go forward with it. In your proposal state:

1. What kind of guns are within the limits. BP..? Bolt action? Caliber? What?

2. What target....and where to download the target or how do you make it.

3. What distance to fire at the target?

4. How many shots?

5. How will the shot hits be scored? What details of proof? Any target with pasted over hits from previous tries allowed?

6. Limitation on sights.

7. Who judges and what if ties?

8. Do the targets have to be posted as a jpg online?

9. Anything else that makes a difference in how you want the contest to be conducted.

Fantastic idea Robert.
I love on line matches.

1) How about a BP muzzle loader match.
2) Targets to be downloaded from......somewhere or targets that are used at your local gun club.
3) Distance could be 50 meters for rifles using Roundball, 100 meters for rifles using other type of bullets and 25 meters for pistol.
4) 13 shots, best 10 count
5) Mail your best target to the “referee”
6) Only open sights
7) Good question, first let’s see how many participate. My first idea is that the shooter with most 10's wins. Referee decides.
8) Targets to be mailed to the referee. Referee posts them after the match is closed.
9) Not at the moment, maybe someone else has any ideas.

I’m open for any other type of match as long as I don’t have to buy another rifle.
My license is full. :D

Met vriendelijke groet,

What about a 25m, .22 rifle, iron sights, best group match.
Afraid I don't have any BP rifles but I could possibly borrow one if we go with Martins
suggestion.

25m, .22 rifle, iron sights, best group match sounds great to me.
It's been a long time since I used the good old WZ48 in a match.
Count me in.

Met vriendelijke groet,

Martin

Suggestions remain open to proposals for a couple more days.

Don't hold back if you have something in mind. There will be a vote to determine the favorite among all suggested.

Why does it have to be iron sights ? thats discrimination to those who dont have good vision and can only shoot using a scope . For me targets at 25 yds are impossible to see as much as I tried a few weeks ago with apperture sights its a no go .

I have to agree with Dave about iron sights. I see a blur because of my prism correction and the fact that I have to wear Varifocal lenses.
You could split any comp into two categories, Open sight & Scope Sight.

I don't have BP either. In fact I've got nothing. How about rocks at 5m, best 2 out of 3 ?
