I saw that SOG has these, as of their latest flyer. Does anyone have any experience with one of these?

My handgun collection is somewhat limited, and I'm still on the search for a reliable auto, since what I have leaves much to be desired.

I had a 10mm Glock briefly, it was an excellent pistol and it just worked.

The reason it was passed on was it wasn't really in my collecting frame but it was an excellent trouble free pistol.

Does the L designate long slide? I've forgotten the nomeclatures, the 17 was originally 9mm?

I'm not totally sure myself on the L designation, but long slide would be a good guess, since it does have one :) Yes, it is in 9mm.

These are apparently a competition version, with a 19rd mag. They are recent imports from Central America, where they apparently belonged to anti-terrorism units.....which adds a nice touch I guess

yes they are the longslide version and the one I shot a few years ago was very accurate with the longer sight radius.

All righty.....I'm calling my order in and taking the plunge tomorrow, so we'll find out :)

I had two of the things. First one I blew up with bad reloads - my fault entirely, I had suspicions when I made the ammo and didn't listen to the nagging doubts.....

Both were fine shooters. I used them for "Police/Combat" comps.

I enjoyed my Glock 20 in 10mm the best though!

WHEN we were allowed such things in the UK many years ago!!

I have a Mod23 in 40cal. All you need in a modern tactical style semi-auto pistol. Had the 45acp Mod21. Okay, big for my hand. Sold for good $$$ 5-Preban mags during the Clinton Mag-Ban years. Great caliber-Found a SIG later in 45.

I have seen SOG's ad. Think they have HK's as well.
