Old Aviators and Old Airplanes

“For pilots and those who admire the P-51 everywhere, enjoy this.
“Anyone who has actually been near a P-51 usually can’t forget the rumbling that reaches your core. This one was owned and flown by a doctor (of course), and the smoke and noise when it was started was simply amazing. The plane was sold, and later wrecked. They do show up at air shows now and then, and one crashed at an air race recently by a pilot-owner who had modified the wings to give him more speed and control. I guess it didn’t work out that way.
“I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!”
