Anyone know anything that would help me set up a camera in our barn so my wife could watch the nesting birds in there?
The image below gives all the measurements in case you can help.
(It's her Christmas Present she says, all I have to do is fix it up  )

I know someone who has a video camera he bought from Best Buy that cost about $30. It has its own ip and he can link to it from anyplace by the internet. Don't ask me how it works because I don't know. He's since upgraded it where it has a motion detector and can call him if there is any motion detected..also record the motion. Great burgler alarm, pet watcher, or bird watcher I'd think.

Just looking online I found this one that ought to fill the bill for what you want to do...but don't have any experience with this thing myself, either in particular to the model or in general.

All you are going to need is a power source in your barn, I'd think.

Good link Robert.
I checked out the site, chatted with one of their sales people and ordered a camera this morning, 44€ including postage!

Let me know how it works out. I was thinking about adding one to my gun room. I just got my collection insurance bill and they make deductions for safeguards like this....don't know how much, but I would look into it if you give it a good report.

Well I have to say that the site is VERY user friendly and very helpful - just the sort of thing that we used to get in the old days when it was called Customer Service

It's installed and working - after a few false starts :loco: :loco:

I am sure there is a way of streaming it live on the internet but that will have to wait till I get my 'technical head' on later, but at least it works after all the grief of running the cable through 18" thick walls and a rainwater duct
Just got to tidy up the installation cable in the house now

Had to go and move it coz it wouldn't show the nesting boxes.

Taken tonight. I just panned the camera in the barn a bit further than I normally do and there it was!
