Picked up an L42A1!!

One dropped into my lap a couple of months ago, and had to put it on the lay-away plan. Came with transit case, scope, bracket, can, can strap, leather lens cap and a bit of scrim. I am really pleased at the condition, and scope is crystal clear.

Making payments

on a new purchase. Selling a few things to pay it off, so far I have 2300 dollars US. No pictures yet though. It is an Enfield action, comes in a wooden case, and has an L1A1 scope attached to it. :mrgreen: I never thought I would see more than pictures of one, but now in a little more than a year, ...

I also have a nice Japanese WWII T-99 sniper, but without scope. Currently in pieces being cleaned. It spent about 50 years over a fireplace :cry:

The repro mounts came from Sarco a couple of years ago. Need quite a bit of tweaking to get them "right". Moot point anyway as Sarco has had them backordered for the last year and a half. Roger Payne apparently is about to finish up production on some of his mounts, which are as close to M...

No, this is SOG's latest attempt to flog off a bunch of unsafe Kyhber Pass rifles as something collectible.

If you notice the ad does not say where or when these rifles were done.

SOG has been stuck with these rifles and a batch of Khyber Martinis for awhile.
