Scout Mount

Does anyone know where I can get a scope for a scout mount on my M-44 Carbine???? There aren't any real sporting goods stores here in the Hampton Roads area of Va. where I am at. I really want a scope and I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it. One fellow at a gun shop was showing me some for 2...

Cherry Popped

Went out and shot my M-44 yesterday and am very happy with the purchase. The accuracy really impressed me. Now all I have to do is 1. get a shoulder pad for it. and 2. hone my shooting skills a little more so I can be where I want to be as a marksman.

Mauser mounts

Check this out. I've got one for my Turkish mauser and it works really good. You may want to purchase another stock for yours because it requires some material removal on your stock. That is why I have two stocks, one for show and one for go. http://cgi.ebay.com/MAUSER-SCOPE-MOUNT-MAUSER-MOUNT-MAUSE...

First Mosin M-44

Thanks Momma. I am currently teaching both my children proper firearms safety and my son knows what and where he can point ANY gun, incluning water pistols and cap guns.

I do believe that is what I had. I am going today to pick up another stock so I can have a stock for showing and one for mounting my scope mount. I have to carve out some of the stock to mount the scope rail and I want to keep one stock as original as I can get.

First Mosin M-44

Here are a few pics of my first M-44 Carbine. I paid about $80 for it. I have to get a new trigger spring for it, that is enroute as you read this. I can't wait to shoot it. Refurbished M-38 8MM

I finally finished refurbishing my M-38 Turkish Mauser. It took massive amounts of degreaser and sand paper. My final sanding was done with 400 grit and some 0000 steel wool. The finish is compliments of Outers #455 Stock Finishing Kit. It is the best I've found so far. Bear in mind I am new to the ...
