$69 AIM K31 "stock blem" arrives

Not bad. At all. Walnut, to my surprise. Expecting a severely beaver-chewed beech. Has a forend splice, M39-style. With sharp fingers, but perfectly done. Bluing on the gun is shot, reciever is in the white! (This was meant to be a "project" gun. I have several- perfect- K31's that I've do...

manually cock it, then open the bolt

The sticky bolt thing is widely attributed to case lacquer build up melting with the heat of firing... lacquer extant or no, I find that pulling back on the cocking knob, THEN opening the bolt takes the strain of cocking off the action and it opens easier. No matter how hot the chamber/barrel are ge...

175 rounds, 3 diff kinds of ammo: 100% reliablity.

Alas, it gave me "Walther bite"- a Houge Handall will help anchor it.

Hope this helps somebody: Century still has Manurhin PP's, and they work as advertised...

New (to me) Manurhin PP impressions

Having scratched the immediate C&R itch with a few rifles- M39, M44, Yugo Mauser- I went looking for the Manurhin PP- one of the C&R "must-haves." Sadly, they are drying up. A year or so ago AIM had, along with a few others. They've inched their way up in price as well. I located a...

How about the antique receiver M39's at Wholesale G&A?

They have so many; some are quite reasonable, others seem high.

I just got one: under $200, 100% blue, nice stock, VKT 1941 barrel... and it shot very well.

$100 M39's are gone forever.

Like my CZ52 a lot, but it has a few quirks. With mine, the slide hold open sticks, possibly because of the wood grips, I think. Anybody else have this? Also got a case of the Romanian from AIM. Good stuff- fairly clean burning- but I did have one extractor prob. Live round stuck; looked like the ri...
