The Mk III is a Lithgow, dated 1914, (numbers matching),on walnut (which pleased me) - I've wanted a MkIII for years. The P14 (apparently a Winchester) was an 'impulse buy', the dealer had one for sale, the FAC had a space, the money was available and I couldn't see a CLLE coming my way in the immed...

"...don't know if they are hooked together as per the regulations though..." Adam, Strictly speaking one of the rifles should be reversed (magazine uppermost) - there was a British Army drill for piling arms (oh what a surprise!), it's in the 1914 manual - if you're interested I could scan...
