"S" MARKED BAYONET

Post by RGRWJB » Mon Jul 10, 2006 9:49 pm

These are rare birds. My friends in Finland have only seen the three I bought and have never seen anymore. There are a lot of Very good plus ones but not with the Civil Guard "S".

Very unique items to be sure. I am not sure on some of these pictures what I must be looking at. Can you please identify the significance of the second picture of the bayonet and what we should be looking for? Also I do not understand the sixth photograph of the rifle. Although the picture is somewhat blurred I assume we should be identifying the rear sight as a special type? I do like the idea of the flag safety on the Nagant bolt. It is the same used on training rifles from Poland yes?

Yuri

Its hard to see, but it's and 91/30 bayonet with a blade attached. They used a Russian blade instead of spiked bayonets. Its a rare bird.

Yes I see that the shape is different. Can you assist in the sixth picture as well?
