Air Show

Post by BOLOMK1 » Thu Jul 20, 2006 5:58 pm

We have an air show in town this weekend (Sioux Falls,S.D.) "Prairie Thunder".The Blue Angels are featured and are here early practicing, which leads to my dilemma.

I've been home this afternoon sitting on the porch trying to read and have a brew....but with my camera nearby.

I've jumped up so many times to try and get a pic as the Angel's Hornets blast past my humble hovel that I've spilled my beer, bent my chair and lost my place in the darn book too many times to keep track!

Dang they are fun to watch! Also a nice B-25 Mitchell has cruised overhead a couple of times;I have to work during the real show so this is my compensation. :D

Sounds like fun John, we have just got back from East Kirkby in Lincolnshire where we attended a meeting of Buells at the Aviation centre.

Got some cool pix of our bikes in front of the Lancaster there and was then treated to a spirited display of low flying by a TR 9 Spitfire, and a short taxi by the Lanc. ( Unfortunately it doesnt fly)

Joe

Yes, it is 2 a seat Spitfire!
