I seem to rememnber some pictures being posted on here of one but can not find then, do they still exsist anyone?

The reason being I was offered one today for £150 and I think it has to be worth a punt.

I think you'll find that the Irish use the Euro now and not the Punt, Mick. :lol:

I found out today that most of the Whitakers were built in the gunroom of the South London RC at Bisley.

Looks a bit like the T4 target rifle. I have a T4 in 308 it shoots really well a very acurate rifle.

The last couple that came up at auction were £20 but without the sights. At the moment, I don't think anyone values them, apart from the parts. Eventually, if you wait ten years or so, I guess they might attract Enfield collectors' niche interest!

I don't know how much use this is, but I'd check the barrel length and type. mines 27" and not brilliant at long range, but a very comfortable weapon to fire. I've seen one with an L42 barrel. depending what you do with it, its a nice enough rifle, but they seem to vary. I have met a few TR types who used them in their day, and found them a good enough rifle. I'd go with brewstop, they're nice rifles, but besides the post veteran tag, fall between the gaps.

take it as you find it. and find a good TZ 4/47 for it if you can
