Anybody here have/shot/handled one of those little Springfield? Scout rifles. I'm talking about the .22/.410 survival rifles that was originally made for the Air Force.
Are the new versions any good. I guess that technically the new ones don't qualify as milsurps, they are more like replicas of the originals.
I was looking at one today in the local shop and it was kinda calling to me, but I can't bring myself to find a real want/need for it other than it's kinda neat looking. Looked handy with the matching factory scope with see-through mounts. Actually shouldered right without having to crane my head to see the sights.
Are any of the originals out there? What are they worth? This one was $200 with the scope and maybe I should buy accessories for my milsurp darlings with that instead ;-)
Decisions, decisions

Scout?
This forum is for all other rifles and hand guns that we have an interest in. They need not be of military origin nor C&R.
