Black Powder VS Pyrodex

Black Powder VS Pyrodex
I like the smoke and smell of real black powder. However, never shot it in pistol under 50 cal., only pyrodex. I think pyrodex is fine for pistols but if I have a choice I'd take BP any day over Pyrodex for rifles.

Smoke and smell and other such considerations have never been a concern of mine - they are not a reason I would choose to use BP over a substitute. I only shoot BP and am more interested in learning how a firearm performs with the powder it was intended to be used with. Besides which MLAGB and MLAIC competitions I shoot don't permit anything other than BP.

For those who are addicted.
This is how to enjoy BP to the full.

I set it up with one of the visitors to our Gîte this year who was interested in shooting and wanted to try some BP.
