A nice rifle. I think you'll find that the coin is an old British penny, and will have an image of Britannia on the reverse, if its still there. The king is George V, so the right king for the rifle. I would dearly love one of those rifles, but my licence and gun cabinet are full, and budget restrictions being what they are... <sigh>.

also a very nice display rig. what does the full thing look like?

I suspect that, given the size of the disc, the coin is probably an old Ha'penny (Half penny), smaller than the penny. In the reign of George V, it too bore an image of Britannia.

I had the chance to buy a Mk V AND both the funds and a space on my ticket. Like a BF I was too cautious and missed my chance*.

Feel free to call me every kind of idiot (believe me, I've called myself them ever since).

Tom

* I'd never come across a Mk V before , I knew nothing of them and thought I'd like to check up about the rifle first.

Very nice. Very nice price price I'd imagine to go with it.

I too would like to see a shot of the full display set-up, from the hinges I'd imagine it's some sort of lockable arrangement ?

PS Tom - you're an idiot ;)

I second that response. I have to keep mine hidden away in a dank basement :( . I wish I could charge the government for the gun oil it takes to keep the rust out of them.
