I drive over to Germany in a couple of weeks and see what they have.

The guy to talk to is Vic Thomas on Gunboards Martin as he can assist you. There is no one in the US better than Vic on the SVT and he has quite a few real snipers in his collection. I think the notch on the real snipers have a proof marking on the inside but that might not be the case. Not really my bag - the SVT. I know a bit on them but not as much as someone like Vic.
