Guinness Stout
With a group of friends each Sunday morning, we meet at different places for breakfast and then go for a long walk, then to one of our homes to drink beer. We all try to find different beers to share and there are probably not too many we haven't tried, we pass the different ones around so we all try some of each.
Here's my question, after drinking Guinness Stout (from a can with a co2 capsule in it) in your glass, the next beer you pour into your glass foams over. No other beer causes this reaction. Any ideas?
Vern.

Peace is that brief, quiet moment in history.......... when everybody stands around reloading.

Jayzus Vern!
Sure an you should not be adulteratin the glass with any other liquid. Tis sacred ya know!
I suspect that it is the 'foaming agent' that they put in the beer to give it a lasting head that is reacting with the next cold liquid.

London porter isn't stout.
The original London porter was a mixture of sour beer (old beer) and another it was cheaper than the regular stuff.
It was consumed by the working class.
Dockers London porters etc hence its name.
Iv got the full story some were Ill see if I can dig it out and elaborate.
A brewer in the UK makes a porter it tastes and looks nothing like Guinness.
Guinness is a stout beer a robust beer its qualities are derived from the addition of roast barley as well as malt the bitter taste the dark colour and foaming head are the result of using roast barley in the brew.
As you have probably guessed I like a drop of beer.

Beer...
I find it nothing short of truly amazing that I can sit here in my comfy chair and with no more effort than a quick trip to the icebox have a bottle or can of beer from absolutely anywhere in the world that brews good beer (and that is quite some number of places)!
I believe its just the most wonderful time to be alive!

Of course the downside

Think I have seen some of that Bluetongue somewhere in one of the grocery stores I frequent. Have to give it a try. Think I noticed it because it seemed like such a weird name for a beer.
