MOSIN AMMO

Post by ARMOREDCOURIER » Sat Jun 09, 2007 5:30 pm

A friend recently bought some ammo that he thought was for his AK47. He was dissmayed to find that it was 7.62x54r. So he sold it to me since I have 3 Mosins. The ammo has a silver tip and almost orange casing. I haven't seen that on any of my other 7.62x54r. Can anyone tell me what I bought?

Thanks in advance Bill

What's the headstamp? Most silver tip is good stuff, corrosive but quite accurate. Mine is Czech.

I've got some Hungarian that is in a copper-washed steel case.

The headstamp tells all.
