Remington 1903 w/ pix

Post by ThePitbullofLove » Sat Jun 16, 2007 6:13 pm

Picked up a Remington Model 1903 today, from a friend trying to finance his purchase of a Norwegian Krag, Luger, and Radom Vis 35 rig two weeks ago...

It's one he cherrypicked...um, purchased during a CMP volunteer sorting trip to Anniston a few years ago. It was the only C stocked rifle that they came across on that trip.

Anyway, it's Remington 9/42 barrel dated, Remington bolt, stamped trigger housing, C-stock, no inspector marks other than a [P] on the heel of the pistol grip, and a lambda symbol following.

The bore is bright and shiny, the muzzle tight, and it's still got cosmo in the nooks and crannies. The stock has been wiped down, but not really cleaned. Trigger pull is a joy.

I love helping friends out...

Better (and cleaner) pix soon...it was getting dark

Thanks. I prefer the sights of the 03A3, but the 1903 is a classic...
