Not all T38 do have that stamp, but the zeros stamped over the mum are peresent on all of them.
All I have seen, do not have cleaning rods, had to make one for it.
There was a bigger lot imported in the early 1970s, nearly the only Arisakas, that are available here in Germany, along with the Thai police carbines made ba shortening T38 into .30Carbine length thingies.
There are some 8mm Siam Arisakas too, passed on one some years ago, try to correct that error ever sice.
Chris

My T38 is a Thai one
My T38 has the Thai markings. It came via Germany and has German proofs dated 1971.

Japanese with Thai Markings
That mark is something I have never seen. I have seen the little "zero's" around the edge of the mum. Usually the ones I have seen like that also have a mark that looks like a little camp stool between the mum and the Type 38 mark. Nice rifles. roy
