CMP has some M1 carbines coming up for sale

Post by Niner » Wed Jan 17, 2007 10:33 pm

Looks like there will be some M1 carbines for sale in the next few months. Good thing too. I went to a gun show last weekend and the carbines were more expensive than the Garands. Almost forked over $750 for a paratrooper model from the war years. Now wishing that I had done so.

Anyway, this should be a link to the CMP announcement.

If only our Govt had a similar scheme instead of giving slrs to Sierra loene gangsters I would have gladly bought one!

Not exactly a wholesale price

They want $495 for a "service" grade Inland mfg. plus a hefty 22.95 S&H charge. And....no magazines or slings included . Still about the price of a refurb P38. Still under the gun show prices as they have been recently.

Maybe not wholesale prices, but since they sold 10000 is less than3 weeks, the price wasn't high enough! LOL

Looks like I probably won't get a chance of any of them since they sell out so fast.

I got lucky and got one of the M1917 rifles when they sold them.

I had an M1 carbine but traded it off when I was interested in cowboy shooting. But I do have a nice 44 cal ruger vacquero now however. Do miss the carbine!
