dhtaxi has sent in his .22 score
Dave, I've added your score to the .22 contest forum and you should be able to enter the forum now to see how it's going.
Are there any entries in the big bore match yet?
I shot 3 targets a couple of weekends ago, 2 with an M1 and 1 with my FAL, but they were nothing to write home about.
I can't seem to get a good tight sling with the FAL. I think I am going to try cinching it around the handguard just behind the gas regulator.

Even with all us milsurp collectors
Everybody who has submitted a score has shot a .22 so far.

GET SOME GRAPHITE GREASE
On that breech block and slide, turn down the gas and blacken the foresight blade! Worked for me!

That's me, second from the left at Wathgill, Catterick.
Those WERE the days!

That would have been a great day out for me!!
Great shame we can't get any military range time over here.
I might shoot a fullbore target tomorrow - weather permitting

Got your score and the target is now posted in the Large Bore contest forum and you are cleared to enter as contestant number one.
dhtaxi has sent in his sore.
Thanks Dave.
Brass Rat has now sent in his big gun score
Thanks Brass Rat. Your score will be entered.
Duncan, I have been turning the gas off and using it like a strait pull bolt action. I have been single loading through the ejector port but I know damn well that the bolt carrier is going to bite me one of these days.
The other big plus of turning the gas off is that I don't have to chase the brass.
The only real excitement at the range this morning was when a wasp flew right up to the flash hider of my #5 and I got to vaporize him with the muzzle blast.
The target I sent in was shot with one of my M1's but I was actually getting tighter groups with the FAL, I just couldn't seem to hit the X with it.
