In the US beer has the the alcohol content listed on the container....if it is listed at all...by volume. In most states beer is somewhere in the 4 or 5 percent by volume with 5% being more usual on regular non light beer..
Last trip to the grocery I picked up a six pack of Grolsch Premium Blond to give it a try. Grolsch is a product of Holland. And... noticed it had an alcohol content of 3.2 by weight. So did a google search... and take 1.25 x 3.2 weight and come up with 4 percent by volume.
Tastes ok, but not as good as the regular Grolsch... which is not "blond".
Alcohol by weight and by volume
