Two likely Lads at the Trafalgar Meeting

Post by Strangely_Brown » Sun Oct 21, 2007 9:55 am

I bumped into Peter at the Trafalgar Meeting at Bisley today, he had been RO'ing the snaps lane. (Peter's the one without the hat)

I also did a bit of shopping and treated myself to a new gun bag (made in Devon!) which is long enough to take my Long Lee and also a new shooting glove for the target rifle side of things.

Those of you on this side of the pond will know you can not use a glove for NRA Service Rifle, but it is allowed in HBSA and LERA target rifle meetings if you are using a service rifle.

I didn't see anything particular of note in the arms fair but must assume if there was anything it went went first thing on Saturday.

Sadly Peter was one of the few mates I saw this year, I only shot the Mad Minute and the Agony Snaps which in reality had lost the agony aspect as the timing between each exposure was quite short, unlike the Army Meeting during the Imperial where you are in the aim for up to a minute.

Best weather for years

Post by PeterN2 » Mon Oct 22, 2007 4:39 pm

The weather couldn't have been better, sunny both days. We had a delayed start until 10AM on Sunday as the range was fogbound. It was nice to see Strangely Brown on the range.

I know what you mean on the Agony Snaps. The butt party need a better briefing on the courses of fire on Snaps. I will post some pics when I get them from the camera.

Regards

Peter.
