Years ago I had a friend that was a blimp pilot during WW2. His regular route was Miami to Panama City and back. Sub patrol, but on the return trip he would bring ferry pilots back to the states.

He also like to break the monotony a bit. They would take on a load of pilots, many of whom were women, and as soon as they were released from the mooring tower he would immediately put the ship into an almost vertical climb. He and his copilot would then laugh like hell watching the 14 pilot passengers all push forward trying to get the nose back down.
