Just brought this home.Sorry 'bout awful picture quality.
Traded a Finn for this.Husqvarna Sporter.Well used but has character.
Serial # 145571,wish I could show better the Moose Medallion inlaid on rt of buttstock.Left side has 4 hashmarks under the bolt release (4 moose kills?) and initials J or T.O.1952 in left side of butt.If it doesn't shoot well as is I would consider rebarelling to 6.5x55.

I like those Husky Mauser Sporters very much. Let us know how it shoots...
I've been "jonesing" for one of those myself.

Went to range Saturday and Sunday with some handloads of 195 gr Hornadys and 53 grains of H4350.
Ive run about 40 rnds of Romo milsurp thru and cleaned the bejesus out of it before the reloads and the bore looks pretty presentable now.
The Romo shot about 6 inches high at 100m with rear sight at lowest notch;reloads were at point of aim.
With care groups were 3 inches,if I didn't pay attention they went to 4.
Plenty good for thumping deer with iron sights.
Since it has the moose medallion in the stock I think I owe it a trip to Canada,Eh?Why not!?
If I run across a reasonable Williams rcvr sight I may take advantage of its being set up for same. You can see the little hole filler screws in the rcvr just ahead of the bolt, looks like they are factory done.
I like it!Grab one if you can Clyde!

Finally obtained a reciever sight for the Husky.Picked up a nice Redfield target model at last gunshow and it is mounted.I'm waiting for a break in the weather to take it out to the range and sight in the new unit.

Is the Redfield a peephole sight John?

Yup,Joe.
It is.The collector I got it from was nice enuff to replace the rather smallish aperture
with a wider one more siutable to hunting.Hopefully it will give me a bit more precision than the original and definitely easier adjustments.
