Swedish M94 takedown

This little beauty turned up at the range on Saturday,

and as i have never seen one before i thought i would

take some snaps and ask for information on it here.

It is nicely presented in its own case complete with

oil bottle, clearing rod, sling and takedown screwdriver.

It has high see through mounts and a period Hensoldt

4X scope.

It is a really attractive hunting rifle, is it a factory build?

It looks to be in mostly military condition though obviously

the front sight ears have been removed and the stock looks

too nice for a military arm.

It shot an extremely tight group at 200m..

Hm, but closely looked, this could be done in Germany, Suhl Claw mount, KALIBER is german writing.

So maybe we should blame Hans?

Iv seen it in the flesh and it looks like its a factory conversion to me not a bubba job and I can confirm it is a very nice and accurate rifle.

A "Bubba'd" rifle is a hack job, or a rework of something that could have done the job as it was. This is no hack job--it is clearly the work of a master gunsmith. He's created a takedown carbine from a military rifle. I particularly like the Mannlicher stock setup.

Forget "gunsmith"--I'll say "gun artisan". I would have liked to meet him.
