Tim,

'Tis a shame, but hang in there. There will be matches in the not too distant future.

1916_Oberndorf_Gew98 Fails to Unseat Adam

Post by SgtJethro » Mon Jun 27, 2005 9:43 am

Adam remains safely atop the leader board.

I tried to unseat him with my 1916 Oberndorf Gewehr 98. Came up a bit short ... actually a lot short.

Dear Moose Breath,

Since you had to ask, thirteen (13) is the current number.

1 - Gew1871

1 - Gew71/84

2 - Gew98

1 - K98az

2 - K98k

1 - 1895 Chilean

1 - 1908 Brazilian

1 - 1891 Argentine

1 - 1909 Argentine

1 - Czech VZ23

1 - 1893 Spanish (wallhanger)

I think that I need to get one more or sell one. Thirteen is such an unlucky number.

Oh, Make That Sixteen

Post by SgtJethro » Tue Jun 28, 2005 6:15 am

You are so right, Bullwinkle. The count is Sixteen. I left out the Swedes.

1 - CG m/96

1 - Husky m/38

1 - CG m/96b with Marksman Target Sights

Thanks for pointing that out. I feel better with 16 vice 13.

Some more scores:

just to get these in on time I've no photos but just popped out and scored the other targets I shot 2 weeks ago, still attached to the frames.

M94 Carbine

Score 89.1

1899 M96

Score 80 Joe sold me this one so that explains it

1899 M96 with Soderin target sights so probably inellegible

Score 92.1

All used hand loads with varying charges of Vihtavuori N160 under Lapua Scenar 139 gn FMJBT.

All targets were shot prone unsupported without slings.

The performance of the little M94 really pleased me, I do enjoy that rifle
