It shoots real good, barrel a littel dark, 2" counterbore, nice triger.
Looks like a Remington stock to me, but the cartouche is too worn to tell for sure.

Remington Stock?
The cartouche looks somewhat like the English contract mark on my New England Westinghouse. The stock color does too.....but yours looks like it has two concentric circles, whatever the inscription. Mine does not show an internal circle. I wonder if the contract marks on the Remingtons looked different from the NEW's?

No, it is not a NEW stock, it is most probably a Remington stock, but since the stamp ist not so good, we can only guess.
On Remington stocks the recoil bolt is not in line with the finger grooves, like on a NEW stock.
Also the Angliskie Zakaz stamp on a NEW stock is on the left hand side, Remington used the concentric circle marking like the russian arsenals on the right hand side.
Under the buttplate I found some numbers stamped, but no date, like on russian stocks.

Had it to the range today after full disassembly/clean/check.
Seems like the S-cartrigde is the prefered load, the D166 is too slim for the wider bore:
