Things a soldier would carry other than firearms, ammo, or uniforms. Meaning equipment such as ammo pouches, bayonets, holsters, oil cans, cleaning equipment, etc.

Went to an arms & militaria fair up north today, mainly looking for SMLE's not one to be seen. In fact in the whole room there were 2 Mausers and a Schmidt Ruben plus a lot of shotguns and badges.
Just to let you know how paranoid the French are sometimes, all the Nazi daggers etc., have to have the swastika covered when they are on display so there they all were on the tables with white target patches over the badges. Armbands of any sort were laid with the badge face down as were any papers such as passes issued by the Germans

well I knew they banned the swastika in germany but I didn't know that it was banned in france also.

When my wife was a little girl she had a Davy Crockett lunch box she was real proud of and on it Davy had a knife with blood dripping off it, having killed a bear with it. Her mother noticed and painted over the blood with white paint before it could be taken to school. My wife hasn't forgiven her yet.
