Serenity's SMLE

Post by joseyclosey » Sat May 17, 2008 3:11 pm

As mentioned by Dromia in a previous post new member Serenity has been renovating a No.1 Mk111* SMLE.

Today was his first shoot with the finished project and he was a little, shall we say, "apprehensive" if she was going to be a decent shooter .

In the event he need have had no worries as accuracy was perfectly acceptible.

First shot.

Group at 100m, not bad for 1st time out.

Even if the weather was pretty crap.

Later in the day, "FIX BAYONETS!

Perhaps Serenity would like to elaborate on the history behind his first full bore rifle?

Over to you Damon........

I see Adam in the background of the first picture ... He must LOVE the rain .... He will fit in well in MONTANA.

Very nice restoration Serenity ... glad it went well for you

I will take out my Siamese Type 66 tomorrow for its first test run and see what it can do in nice SUNNY HOT Weather

Do not feel to bad right now ... It is raining here in NM right now but that is a good thing for us as we need it BADLY. It has been a wierd late April and May for this part of the country lots of rain and cold weather ... not like you all there.
