The "Bamboo Bomber" was a Cessna T-50 Bobcat, but similar in looks.

Niner is correct.

I believe both were used in similar roles as bomber trainers and also liason aircraft.Personally I think the Beech was by far the better aircraft,at least it has survived much longer in post-war use.
