It's a resto fersure

I placed the original rear sight on the barrel for the pict. The 300yd peep has a V notch cut in it . The buttstock was cut squared off for a shoulder pad and of course , the forestock was cut back.

I didn't have to touch the metal finsh at all except for a light rub of oil.

Good bore and matching numbers on the bolt receiver and barrel.

Done deal...

The stock set is beech which already had a light walnut stain on it . I refinshed it abit more to match the real walnut rear handguard .

I don't know what happened to the pictures in the first two posts. Really a mystery. It is possible to post two ways here. What has me baffled is that the BBCode is right for the first, now missing pictures. But the pictures are not the right addresses. This is one of the addresses. Maybe you moved the photos and the addresses changed? For instance, check this one out.

Nice "frost" pictures. Really nice on a day like today with the temps near the 100 degree mark.

You will note I downsized the first picture a bit. You can see how I did it if you hit edit.
