Any chance you cold sell one of the shooters and add something else in the slot it leaves? Then buy back the one you sold and put it in the collectors slot? Guess that would be considered skirting the law...or would it?
Selling is not the problem Niner.

Shifting rifles from my shooters to my collectors license is.

It is prohibited by law.

I did get permission once though.

That was just before I received my collectors license.

The police gave me permission to buy a M44 and a M91/59 and "park" it on my shooters license until I received my collectors license.

I'm thinking of selling the SVT40 and buying a PU or PE(M) sniper instead.

Turns out that I'm not much of a semi-auto man.

The dealer who sold me the SVT would love to buy it back.

I told him that it would be OK, but he had to find me a (very) nice sniper instead.

He's working on it right now. :D

That will be next years project.

Let's just see what happens.

Wish me luck.

Met vriendelijke groet,

Martin

The SVT40 is an interesting piece of maschinery:

Now they are as cheap as can be here.

To find a real Mosin Sniper is not easy, but with a good eye you can do it a the Kassel show.

I know the SVT 40 is cheap in Germany Chris.

I'm glad I get my money back on this one.

Don't know if I can make it to Kassel this year.

I'll let you know OK ???

I'm in no hurry buying the sniper.

Next year would be OK and if I don't find anything I like I'll buy one in 2010.

Met vriendelijke groet,

Martin

I will be at Kassel at the first day, hunting for parts and cheap guns

Just save money for the sniper, you have to buy one, if it pops up.

Lots of repros around, glad I got mine, when they were much cheaper than today.
