Was perusing the rounds of .303 and empty cases that came with the 1915 Enfield I bought recently.
Most are readily identifiable being aussie (MF, MW, MH, MJ), brit (RG), Indian (K^F, ), Iraqi ? (AL, upside down triangle & squiggle, 2 backward L's), RP (Remington Peters) or SB (Sellier & Belliot).
But three have me puzzled.
K 57 7 - is this Kynoch or Kirkee ? (unfired)
^F VII 2 26 - early Footscray ? Indian ? Indian brass is the only one I've seen with the month and year rather than just the year. (unfired)
RBA 303- ?
Any ideas ?
Also some of the MF rounds (unfired) are marked MF 40 G1. What does the G1 designate ? Tracer ? Grenade ?

Hello there:
The G1 is a tracer, it should have a red ring around the primer. Trace to 500 yds.
The ^ F is missing a letter to the front of the ^ ,as you may know so it very well could be Indian.
Hope I helped a little.

Zipcode,
welcome to the forum.
Thanks for the confirmation on the tracer -I won't be sending any of that downrange in the bushfire season then.
The RBA (yes I typoed in the original post) is still yet to be ID.
