Been away the last couple of days for a break in North Yorkshire and i got a real taste for this Masham Ale. Apparently its a brewed for holidays & special occasions...

..... i know it suited my palate and i quaffed a good few pints Thursday afternoon /evening, then after a day touring Ripon , Pately Bridge, (oldest sweet shop in Britain) and Bedale sampled a few more Friday evening.

So if you ever visit Masham N. Yorks call at the Kings Head Hotel in the market place to sample the local brews and cuisine.

Both The Black Sheep Brewery....

And Theakstons Brewery....

...are located in the village. And for a very comfortable and welcoming stay try the Kings Head Hotel.

The pub that is about 150 yards from where I live has Theakstons ales. Good stuff. My .22 indoor range club is in Ripon.

Regards

Peter.
