Heres a picture of my newest aquisition. Its an Australian International Arms M10 A1 carbine in 7.62x39.

I'm told, although I haven't tried it meself, that a Lee-Enfield, or anything else in .303 can have the barrel shortened at the chamber end and after minimal rechambering, become a 7.62 to handle the shorter cartridge. Just what is done to the extractor I don't have a clue. Would seem to make a far cheaper alternative and if a No 1 were used a 'sweeter' rifle.
