Chris
That is a tight group
My M91's shoot .. OK... but not that tight a group. What kind of ammo were you using? Was it surplus? What discription?
Nearly all my finn M91s shoot that good
Even the P26 with a worn barrel!!!!!
I use handloaded ammo, a copy of the finn d cartidge.
Lapua D166 Bullet(200grn) in a S&B case, propelled by 45..46grn of N140, OAL 76mm.
I use this load as a reference for my finn mosins.
The only ones, wich get other ammo are the M28 and the bunch of M28/30(and a sigle M27) because of tighter barrels, They prefer the Lapua D46 185grn(or Lapua Match ammo with D47).
The SU Match EXTRA shoots nearly as good, but is is loaded somwhat harder and has corosive primers.

Thanks for that infomation.
The surplus ammo is so widely different in quality and basic characteristics of composition, I suspected you might have been rolling your own.
Most surplus here is crap!
Had some major problems with sticky bolts, as most ammo now on the market is for maschineguns and a little overpowered.
The SU Match is a real match ammo, used in the former GDR for target competition out to 300m.
There is also some S&B surplus slvertip around, shoots verry good, no bolt sticking.
Modern S&B and PPU factory ammo is also very good, but some guns do not like it.
All the finns whre made or at least modified to use the D166 loaded ammo.
Only my post war M28/30 does not chamber D rounds.
I also have some nice reduced laods with plastic coated, copper palted swaged lead bullets form Haedler&Natermann. No recoil, top accuracy and easy to clean!
