Managed to organise a quick trip to the range this morning. Time is limited these days with the wedding looming but had a very pleasant hour spent with the No 1 MkIII* BSA heavy barrel. After adjusting the sights for the conditions I managed a five shot group that scored 48.1 with reloads off the bench at 100 metres. 10.1, 10, 10, 9 & 9. Very satisfying.
Also had a yarn with a bloke new to the area. He and his son (who is a .303 fan) are looking to join the club. Good news on two fronts - more club members and someone to talk .303 with.
Also spoke with one of the blokes from the local gunshop. Got an invite to come along and assist them with teaching shooting as a sport to the local high school kids. Our practice day is Friday mornings and the kids use the range in the afternoon. So as I usually try and get Fridays off this should work in well.
So a very productive and pleasant hour. Downside is I'm off to work in an hour.

Range time
The power of accurate observation is frequently called cynicism by those who don't have it.

Re: Range time
Woftam, The opportunity to teach the younger generation good firearms hygene would be a strong point, IMHO.
