Old turk Mauser.........

Post by One eyed fat guy » Sun Jul 17, 2005 9:26 am

I picked up an old Turkish Mauser, a 1903/38? The spring that keeps the tension on the bolt stop and shell 'kicker outer' (for lack of a better term) is busted, anybody know where I can pick it up at?

That part should translate to the spring that applies tension to the ejector.

I think I would try Springfield Sporters first. Probably the M98 generic parts list would work.

I don't know if Russell carries that, he has a lot of Enfield stuff. I'll give him a jingle and ask him.

That spring should be a common item and an essential part on mausers. Thanks for the reply.

OEFG,

You might also try Sarco at the following link

or

Numrich

I have used both with excellent results.

Post by spearedum » Thu Jul 28, 2005 1:21 pm

just thinking... would a spring from a ballpoint pen work? I don't know what size or strenght the origional spring need to work.

One time I made a spring out of an 'aol' cd-rom disk and got my car home with out the 'HOOK'!

just my .02 dollors (inflation)

thanx dante' two eyed fat guy
