Re: FN Mag 58
Thanks my Rhodie MAG pics wouldn't load. I was hoping we all knew they used them. My time in the Green Machine only saw M60's w/ the M249 coming on board. If it wasn't for a MG dealer/Shoot promoter I know, I would have never been able to fire/hold one.
Last one legal to buy under our NFA 0f 1936, I ever saw, was over a 150k USD.... a few years ago. Plus the 200USD for the Tax stamp. 1 extra barrel, no tripod.

Lovely, absolutly lovely,However to be fair the MG42/MG3 still holds the record for one of the longest serving light MG in the world.

Hi Bats, welcome to MAH. I agree the MG 42 is another classic seemingly timeless gun, perhaps we should start another photo post thread on the MG42/MG3 in its various roles and countries of service.
Time for a photo search me-thinks,

Good idea Joe, got a couple of books for my Surprise on Friday night I'm sure there will be an MG42 in there somewhere.

Re: FN Mag 58
I fired the GPMG a few times and loved every minute!!!! I only ever fired it in the summer and they made us remove the tracer rounds from the belts. I once talked with a door gunner on a chopper and he told me he fired 500 rounds from his chopper whilst it was in the air at a target and never hit the target once!!!!! But he did say he loved it!! LOL!! Helicopter was a Puma by the way. Lost track of the ammount of times I was in a Puma sitting beside the GPMG, but the feckers would never let me fire it!!!
