Paddy, recently arrived in Australia, went for a job interview to join the Public Service.
He was given a series of tests.
"Pat" the interviewer said " We've got bad news for you. You failed the IQ test and are therefore unsuccessful".
"IQ" says Pat "Phwat's t'is IQ?".
"Well to put it to you gently. Pat, you've got enough intellegence to be able to tie your shoe laces".
"Ah! now Oi see it, that's why so many Aussies wear thongs'.
