William Needham Patent Shotgun, just a bit different

Post by Aughnanure » Sat Feb 20, 2010 10:05 pm

Saw this, among other things, at an Antiques Fair in Armidale, our nearest city (well it does have a Cathedral or two and a University).
Long view on the dealer's table.

The stock with the feed for the caps/primers/whatever.

The much modified lock(s) the feed seems to have been done away withat an early date.

It'd be interesting if someone could come up with some info on this (I'm sure someone will   ).
It's certainly a rarity and the asking price is only $A 6,500. So don't delay! Get in early! I won't charge any commission.

I might add that the two powder flasks in the first pic were priced at $A75 and $A55, the bigger the flask the bigger the price; which seemed a bit steep for reproductions and not very good ones at that. Still that's Antique Fairs.
