"1842" British musket

Post by broke collector » Fri Jul 22, 2005 9:51 am

I purchased one from IMA and have read on several boards that their nomenclature is not correct. It has the rampant lion of the BEI co. and proper British proofs. The lock was made in London by a maker of the time. Can someone shed some light on this .75 cal cannon? I would like to know the service load and, other than IMA history, what the history of its use in Victorias little wars.

ANY ONE SHOT HIS YET? B.C.
