A gift from a friend / 1893 Turkish Mauser

While at SRF's Schutzenfest 2010 in Ohio my friend Dave called and asked if I could stop by his house on my way home. He said he had something for me and if I stopped by it would save him from having to ship it.
Well, when I got to Dave's this is what he had for me. He knows how much I love Turks.



This is my 2nd 1893 Turkish Mauser. My other still has the cutoff box and the stright stock.
This one was reworked in 1938 at which time the cuttoff box may have been removed and the stock replaced.



This is one sweet looking Turk.
