BSA Martini

Won a Martini and a Remington 511 at an on-line estate sale today.

Description advised:
Serial no. P73612, .22 LR cal., 30" medium-weight barrel, blue finish, smooth cheekpiece walnut stock, with Parker-Hale sight.

Condition:
Fine as refinished. Retaining approx. 97% thinning and toning blue with some scratches. Custom-made stock for target use. Fore-end with additional holes for sling swivel placement. Action is crisp, bore is bright. Trigger is finely tuned.

Actually the stock looks factory original.

Wait until you shoot it, it will blow your sock off. They are tremendously accurate. Good find.

That is as pretty as it is unique. That handstop on the underside of the front stock is something that you don't see on other rifles.

Is it a 12/15? It's pretty common (here at any rate) to find them with that handstop with the threaded hole bar underneath. Not much use with modern slings as it's usually too far forward. There appears to be an eyebolt at the back of the forend for the two-point sling - again normal with these ones, if no one's taken it off.
